ABOUT THE ARTIST Pascal Blanchet is a graphic novelist inspired by mid-century graphic design and illustration, particularly vintage jazz album covers. His bold use of colors and form is infused with a strong sense of drama. Pascal’s graphic novels include Nocturne; Baloney;White Rapids, which was awarded a Special Mention by the Marcel-Couture prize in 2007; and La Fugue, which won the 2005 Bédélys prize for best graphic novel of the year.
